The foundation of Peterson Connoisseur’s Choice is its combination of Golden Virginia, Red Virginia and Black Cavendish. The Virginias contribute natural sweetness and brighter tobacco notes, while the darker Black Cavendish provides a softer, sweeter foundation particularly suited to the blend’s aromatic character.

Mixed throughout the loose ribbon tobacco are pieces of broken flake, adding further texture and complexity to the blend. This combination creates a varied tobacco presentation rather than the completely uniform appearance of a conventional ribbon-cut mixture.
