Unlike a conventional loose ribbon mixture, Gawith Hoggarth Exclusiv PR undergoes a preparation similar to flake tobacco. The tobacco is cooked and pressed into a cake before being rubbed out, producing a ready-rubbed mixture that retains some of the deeper, integrated character associated with pressed tobacco while requiring considerably less preparation than a traditional flake.

The defining character comes from its carefully balanced combination of plum and Jamaican rum. A Traditional Plum & Rum Pressed Tobacco

Gawith Hoggarth Exclusiv PR Pipe Tobacco stands apart from many conventional aromatics because of the way the tobacco is prepared. Rather than simply combining loose-cut leaf with an aromatic topping, the tobacco is processed into a pressed cake in a manner similar to flake tobacco and subsequently rubbed out.

This produces a substantial ready-rubbed pipe tobacco with the convenience of a loose mixture while retaining the character created by pressing and processing the leaf. The result is a coarse, textured tobacco rather than a fine ribbon cut.

The aromatic profile is led by natural plum extract, giving the mixture a ripe, fruity sweetness without turning it into an excessively sweet aromatic. Jamaican rum complements the plum with a richer liquor character, while the underlying Virginia provides natural tobacco sweetness and depth.
